Account and security
These two pages in the customer area keep your details correct and your account safe. Both are under the account section of the sidebar in the store.
Account details
Open Account (fenixhost.net/account). The page is called "Personal details" and says "Your name, email and FenixAI preferences."
- Edit First name, Last name or Email. All three are required.
- Click Update to save.
Keep your email current: invoices, order confirmations and security messages are sent there.
FenixAI and your account info
The same page has a FenixAI toggle: "Allow FenixAI to use your account info to answer you better". This is recommended. If you turn it off, FenixAI cannot see your services, credits or plan, so it cannot answer questions about them. See FenixAI.
Security
Open Security (fenixhost.net/account/security). It covers sessions, password and two-factor authentication.
Sessions
The Sessions list shows where your account is signed in, with the IP address, how long ago it was active and the system and browser. If you see one you do not recognize, or you used a shared computer, click Log this session out. Then change your password.
Change your password
- Enter your Current password.
- Enter a New password and repeat it in Confirm password.
- Click Change password.
Use a long password that you do not use anywhere else.
Two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication adds a second step when you sign in, so a stolen password alone is not enough.
- In the Two-factor authentication section click Enable two-factor authentication.
- Follow the instructions on screen.
If you lose access to your second factor and cannot sign in, contact support.
Common problems
- I forgot my password: on the sign-in page click Forgot your password?.
- I think someone else used my account: log out all unknown sessions, change your password, enable two-factor authentication and open a ticket.
- I changed my email and no longer get messages: check the address under Account and your spam folder.
