FenixAI

FenixAI is the assistant built into your game panel. It reads the console and the latest log of your server, explains what went wrong in plain English and can fix it, but only after you say yes.

Where to find it​

  • Press Ctrl K anywhere in the panel, or click Ask FenixAI in the top bar.
  • Or open FenixAI in the ASSISTANT group of the sidebar for the full page.

Every server has FenixAI. It always talks about the server you are looking at.

What it can do​

  • Read and explain: it checks the console and the latest log and tells you the cause of an error in plain words.
  • Propose a fix: for example a changed line in a config file, a restart, or installing a plugin or mod that matches your version.
  • Run actions you ask for: start, stop or restart the server, or send a console command such as whitelist add, op, time set or save-all.
  • Check-up: ask for a check-up and it reviews status, CPU, memory and disk and tells you what needs attention.

Ask in your own words, for example "the server is lagging", "why does it crash on start?" or "restart the server".

Apply and Dismiss​

FenixAI never changes anything without showing it first.

  1. FenixAI describes the change and shows a card with what it wants to do.
  2. Read the card. For a file change it shows the lines that will be added or removed.
  3. Press Apply to run it, or Dismiss if you do not want it. If you dismiss, nothing happens. Some cards for power actions use a confirm button instead of Apply.
  4. After you apply it, the card is marked as applied. Restart the server if the change needs it.

The box where you type has an Ask before every change option, which keeps this confirmation on. A panel on the right of the page has tabs (Changes, Files, Console and Server) so you can follow what was changed.

tip

Before you accept a big change, such as editing several files, make a backup.

Conversation history​

The FenixAI page keeps your conversations:

  • New conversation starts a fresh chat.
  • Under EARLIER you see your older conversations with their date. Click one to read it again or continue it.

Usage and plans​

At the top of the chat you can see Monthly usage, a percentage of what your plan allows, the name of the plan and the day it resets. Manage plan takes you to the plan page.

Let FenixAI see your account​

FenixAI can answer better when it can see your services, credits and plan. This is controlled by a switch in the store:

  1. Log in at fenixhost.net and open Account.
  2. In Personal details, find Allow FenixAI to use your account info to answer you better.
  3. Switch it on or off, then click Update.

If it is switched off, FenixAI cannot see your services, credits or plan, but it can still help with your server.

Tips​

  • Give details. "Players cannot join since the last update" works better than "it is broken".
  • FenixAI helps with the panel and your server. For billing problems or account access, see Contact.
  • If an answer does not fix your problem, say so, or open a ticket with the console lines around the error.
