Settings
The Settings page holds the name, address, access and advanced options of your server. It is one long page with five sections: Network, Subdomain, Users, SFTP access and Advanced.
Network
The Network section lists the address of your server. Each entry shows an IP ADDRESS and a PORT, and a Notes box where you can write a reminder for yourself.
One entry is marked Primary. That is the address players use, and it is the one shown in the SERVER ADDRESS card on the Console.
If there is more than one entry, the others have a Make Primary button. Rust servers have several, because the game uses extra ports for RCON, queries and the Rust+ app (see Rust). You normally do not need to change which one is primary.
Subdomain
A subdomain lets players join with a name such as my-server.srv.fenixhost.net instead of numbers.
- In Subdomain, type the name you want. It must be 3-32 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
- Click Create.
- Use the new name in your game instead of the IP address.
You can also reach this section with the Add a subdomain link on the Console page. For Minecraft, see Minecraft subdomain.
Users
Use Users to let other people help manage your server without sharing your password. They are called subusers.
- Click New User.
- Enter their email address.
- Choose the permissions they get, for example the console, files or backups. Give only what they need.
- Send the invitation.
The people you added appear in the list with their email, whether they use two-factor authentication, and the number of permissions. Use the pencil to change their permissions and the bin to remove them.
The invited person sees your server in the store under Shared with you and can open it from there.
Only invite people you trust. Someone with file or console access can change or delete your server data. Never share your own account password, see Account security.
SFTP access
This section sets how you log in with SFTP programs. The text on the page says: this password and these keys belong to your account, so they work on all your servers.
- SFTP password: until you set one, it says it is not set yet and SFTP only works with an SSH key. Click Set an SFTP password to choose one.
- SSH keys: click Add an SSH key and paste your public key. Keys you add are listed here.
The host, port and user for the connection are shown on the Files page. See Files and SFTP for the full steps with FileZilla and WinSCP.
Advanced
Debug information
DEBUG INFORMATION shows the Node and the Server ID of your server. If you contact support, copy both and add them to your message. It helps us find your server quickly. See Contact.
Reinstall server
REINSTALL SERVER stops your server and runs the installation script again. Some files may be deleted or replaced, so the panel offers to make a backup first.
- Click Reinstall server.
- In the dialog, accept the offer to make a backup first, unless you already have a recent one.
- Confirm and wait for the reinstall to finish.
- Start the server from the Console.
Use reinstall only as a last resort, for example when a server will not start and nothing else has worked. Check your files and backups first. Anything you changed may be replaced.
